Tanning Tips
To make sure you get the best spray tan possible, take a look at our spray tan preparations:
Before Your Tan:
Cleanse, shave, and exfoliate with oil-free products before your appointment. Skip moisturizers afterward to ensure optimal tan absorption. Plan any hair, spa, or workout treatments ahead of time for the best results.
Day of Your Tan:
-
Avoid body and face moisturizer.
-
Skip makeup, perfume, and deodorant.
-
Wear loose, dark clothing for comfort after your tan.
After Your Tan:
-
Stay completely dry for 6-8 hours—no sweating or water exposure until your first rinse.
-
Your tan will gradually darken over the next 4-5 hours as it develops.
-
You may feel slightly damp for about an hour after your tan, but you can go about your day as usual.
-
When showering, use lukewarm water and mild, unscented soap. Keep showers short, and shave gently.
-
Always pat your skin dry instead of rubbing. Moisturize daily with a mild lotion or tan extender to keep your glow lasting longer.
-
Avoid direct skin contact when applying perfume—spray it onto clothing or hair instead.
-
Minimize time in pools and hot tubs, as chlorine can cause your tan to fade faster. Any color transfer on clothing or sheets is temporary and will wash out easily.
